Perfectionism.....

“Each day of your life is different from the day before, so it’s unrealistic to think that your performance will be (or should be) exactly the same every day. For some people, just making it out of bed on certain days may be the best they can do, and that’s okay. Your best may change from day to day, moment to moment. If you are addicted to excelling every day, you will indeed suffer greatly with self-judgment, abuse, and regret. (As a recovering perfectionist, I am qualified to say this!) Even God took a day off!” ~ The Art of Being

Thank you Dr Dennis (Merritt Jones)....this was the perfect message for today....

How often do we, do I get caught in my day to day activities, competing with myself...
Its an easy one identified - it sounds like "could of; should of; would of"....you know the days when you "should" on yourself...

Do you like putting puzzles together? The beautiful pictures on the box; the multiple pieces to create the picture found inside.....we're like puzzles, each one of us in a different size/shape; multiple colors; a bit part of the picture....all the pieces fit together to make the picture.....if one's missing, the picture is not complete.....MY piece of the puzzle plays an integral part....

Each day - - my simple task is to show up; play full out; not compete with myself or others; simply be present in the moment expressing....

The truth is simple: In a world where you can be anything you choose to be....BE YOURSELF".....only you; only I can fulfill what we came here to do and give the world - we are the gift!!!
